The Mysore center of the Indian Council of Astrological sciences, conducted a technical workshop on Brighu Nadi Astrology on 12-4-09, at the Prarthana mandira, Eswara temple, V V Mohalla Mysore. Shri A. V. Sundaram a retired professor from IIT Chennai, & General Secretary of I C A S, currently a research scholar, spoke on the Brighu Nadi system of Astrology & its application. He is traveling to all the chapters & centers of the council and conducting the workshop on Brighu Nadi in India, at the ICAS chapters and centers.

The Nadi system is a unique system of predictive astrology & the techniques found in this system can be applied in transit to the horoscope and the results found are outstanding.

In the Brighu Nadi system sage Brighu has not concentrated on the ascendant/ lagan at all. He concentrates on the Jupiter; he calls it a life force. One has to count all the twelve Bhavas from Jupiter in the birth chart & predictions become very simple & easy. Planets closely connected with each other are also studied & predictions are made.

Saturn & Jupiter are the two main planets used in the Nadi system in transit ,where the timing of events like marriage, birth of Child , Foreign travel , first job, death of the father , death of the mother, danger to the individual & when the native could get name and fame, can be foreseen.

The special feature in the Brighu Nadi is that the portfolios of planets is linked to the human aspects of life, and the Karma effect on the human being and their identification is possible through planets. The planets are specifically called as destiny makers and destiny breakers.

The audience appreciated the technical workshop on Brighu Nadi. More than hundred students of the Astrological council attended the workshop.
