Founder President of " Indian Council Of Astrological Sciences "

late Dr. B.V. RamanAmongst the greatest trendsetters of the modern times and founder of ICAS late Dr. B.V. Raman did a great job of translating ancient Sanskrit astrological texts into English and thus making it available to rest of the world. Popularity of astrology was at the climax when Dr B.V. Raman predicted 2nd world war developments using maidini astrology as a wonderful tool. The British Govt. too was stunned looking into accuracy of the predictions regarding win over of the American allies and defeat of the German alliance. He founded ICAS in Oct, 1984 in Chennai from the viewpoint of conducting uniform examination pattern of astrology courses throughout India. He also started chapters of astrology in different cities aimed at achieving high teaching standards & preparing students for Jyotish courses. No sooner, ICAS became most popular reaching nearby half century chapters in almost every important city.

Students from this institution are now great masters of astrology and en high teaching the whole world. His magazine, Astrological magazine is more than 6 decades old now.

"Dr.Raman spared no effort to demonstrate through his writings and predictions in THE ASTROLOGICAL MAGAZINE and other media for more than six decades that the astrological theory of cosmic influences on human life and terrestrial activity was essentially correct and the study of these influences going under the name of Jyotisha or astrology needed to be introduced in the University curricula as an academic subject. The ICAS which he founded with this objective continues to be actively involved in pursuing Dr.Raman's objective through proper propogation of astrology through a team of dedicated and selfless members at an All-India level."
